What is the Marigold Collective?
The Marigold Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to connect the Winterville and East Athens communities with fresh, affordable food, information on nutrition, support for local food producers, and an opportunity to distribute food abundance to the community.
The Marigold Market is held in Pittard Park Saturdays (April-December) from 9 am to 1 pm and Mondays from 10-3 in the Historic Pittard Bank. Both markets sell locally farmed, fresh produce as well as jewelry, art, and crafts made by local small businesses. The Market also hosts entertainment and activities for children to maximize the enjoyment of this wonderful community experience. In addition to offering fresh food, both markets accept EBT and double SNAP.
After the Monday Market, The Marigold Food Hub takes the unsold produce from the Market and purchases it directly from the farmers which allows us to cook a prepared lunch (available on Mondays!),and distribute fresh produce and prepared meals throughout local neighborhoods to those in need.
We have the ability to prepare the food for sale and distribution through our licensed Marigold Commercial Kitchen. The kitchen hosts space to prepare the meals distributed from the Food Hub and provides a legally compliant space for those beginning or growing a food business to prepare their products.

We are in constant need of storage containers for freezing, canning and preparing the abundant produce that our farmers grow.
